- Hybrid copper base, thin aluminum pin heatsink: the massive
1/2" thick copper base provides superior heat capacity
for unparalleled stability in extreme overclocking applications.
The thin aluminum pins promote increased turbulence for more
efficient heat dissipation compared to traditional fin extrusions.
- Patented Helicoid pin design (U.S. patent 6,469,898): pins
are individually machined in an helicoid shape, to increase
their surface area, and further enhance heat dissipation efficiency.
- The MCX370-CR2 features 236 thin pins, instead of 188 in
previous models, resulting in up to 5% performance increase.

- The MCX370-CR2 is compatible with 60mm fans.
- Best performance is achieved with the fan blowing downwards.
- While the MCX370-CR2 ships without a factory fan, rubber
spacers are included with the hardware to reduce noise,
and vibrations.

Perfect contact between CPU and heatsink is critical for transferring
the thermal load to the heat dissipation device. For this
reason, the heatsink base is lapped in-house, flat to 3/10th
of 1/1000" and hand-polished to a near-mirror finish (Grade
8 Micro Surface finish)

Mounting system:
- 2 retaining clips attaching to the socket, hook to all
the retention latches (socket A , or socket 370) - Unequal
length compression springs meet AMD and Intel® heatsink
to CPU pressure specifications.
- Due to it's heavy weight, we recommend that the MCX370-CR2 be
uninstalled from the computer for transportation or shipping.
