Designed in the USA  Introduction The MCW-Ramcool series are extreme duty waterblocks designed to fit nVidia's GeForce series VGA memory modules. The design concept is a standalone solution mechanically distinct from the GPU waterblock. For this reason the MCW-Ramcool waterblocks guarantee superior thermal joints with the memory modules compared to stock or to other aftermarket "monolithic" cooling solutions. This can translate into superior performance and overclockability of the memory modules. In order to provide universal compatibility with existing liquid cooling systems, we have designed the Patent Pending "F" fittings which allow the MCW-Ramcool to operate with 1/2", 3/8" and 1/4" cooling loops. These fittings provide a clean tube routing, with a minimum of pressure drop in the system by linking in parallel the 1/4" MCW-Ramcool ports to the VGA water-block ports. Picture gallery (Click Pictures to enlarge) Thanks to its relocated outlet, the MCW-Ramcool/79 provides full SLI compatibility for GeForce 7900GT, 7950GT and 7900GS VGA's. Features and benefits at a glance Versatility The MCW-Ramcool waterblocks are compatible with all existing liquid cooling loops: 1/2", 3/8", and 1/4" thanks to Swiftech exclusive and Patent Pending "F" fittings. Low waterblock profile allows installation with nVidia's SLI systems. Superior thermal joint compared to other solutions The MCW-Ramcool waterblocks provide the best possible mechanical joint with the memory modules. This will allow users to push the memory frequency and voltage at their maximum specs. Superior GPU cooling and System flow rate The MCW-Ramcool are installed in parallel with the GPU cooler and cause minimal flow restriction to the system. This allows the use of advanced GPU cooling solutions -such as the MCW60, thus yielding superior thermal performance at both the GPU and memory levels without negative effect to overall system flow rate. Reliability The housing is injection molded from POM (Acetal Co-polymer) resulting in complete reliability compared to machined Acrylic tops which tend to crack. Lower cost of ownership The injection molded housing results in lower production costs due to economies of scale. Cost of ownership is thus reduced compared to monolithic solutions, with superior performance where it really counts, and complete freedom in terms of graphics cards upgradability.

Performance data Click on picture to enlarge As seen above, thanks to the patent pending 'F" fittings, the addition of the MCW-Ramcool has very little impact on the system flow rate in the typical range of operations comprised between 0.5 and up to 2 GPM. This will allow users with entry levels pumps and/or 1/4" loops to use the MCW-Ramcool without incurring an excessive burden on system flow rate. back to top
