H20-120-T™THERMOELECTRIC SERIES LIQUID COOLING KITS The H20-120-775T™ for Intel® Pentium® 4 (LGA775) Introduction The H20-120-T™ series of thermoelectric liquid cooling kits are designed for extreme cooling applications where sub-ambient processor temperatures are desired. While Swiftech recognizes that this kit solution is by no means universally compatible with all computer cases, our design choices have been made to allow installation in the largest possible number of chassis with a minimum of modifications. Ideal chassis in this respect are those featuring a 120mm fan intake at the front of the case. The kits are also meant to include absolutely everything that is needed to perform a complete thermoelectric installation with proper components insulation. Performance features and benefits Extreme performance MCW5002-T™ series water-blocks with 226 Watts thermoelectric module for sub-ambient processor temperatures: up to 50°C drop in processor operating temperature. Dissipation of the thermal load is achieved with two MCR120-FB 120 mm copper fins radiators, featuring a 120x25mm fan each, selected for moderate noise output (34dBA each, 37 dBA total). Extreme performance MCP655™ 12 Volts DC industrial pump. 1/2" ID tubing for maximum flow rate inside the circuit. Convenience & reliability features: Versatility: can be used with a large number of cases with few and simple case modifications. Two 120mm radiators are provided: one complete radiator fan assembly with the MCB120 "Radbox" is a "bolt-on" item meant to be installed externally to the back of the chassis, and one 120mm radiator /fan combo is meant to be installed internally. The second radiator is typically instaled at the front of the chassis instead of a 120mm intake fan. Given the ease of use and quasi universal compatibility of our "Radbox" assembly, it is felt that installation of a second 120mm radiator is significantly easier than finding room for one dual 120mm radiator. More economical and easier to implement than vapor compression systems. High-reliability with Solid state thermoelectric modules (50,000 hours MTBF) High-reliability and no-maintenance MCP655 industrial pump features quiet operations thanks to brushless motor, and is rated at 50,000 hour MTBF(Mean Time Between Failures) equivalent to 5 year lifetime Convenience: 12 Volt DC pump plugs directly into computer power supply Convenience: MCRES-525™ 5 1/4" Drive bay reservoir allows a quick and easy procedure for filling-up the system. The S320-12 auxiliary 25 amps power-supply is provided with the kit, and includes a relay switch and harness to couple the auxiliary power supply to the main power supply. The integrated circuit industry rule of thumb states that a chip will gain an average of 2 to 3% in operating frequency for every 10°C drop in operating temperature. The chart below is helpful in estimating what the processor temperature will be after installation of the kit, and then project the microprocessor frequency gain using this rule of thumb. It is estimated that coolant temperature will be maintained at approximately 10C above ambient temperature in this kit configuration.
