In the above curves, we show the
heat dissipation performance of the MCR220-QP with
our Delta M class 120mm fan running at 12, 7 and
5 Volt. For additional reference, we also show:
a high-flow/high noise Delta HE class fan, and a
low flow/low noise Papst fan. Estimated (*) noise
levels are also indicated.
We
can see in these curves that good gains can be made
from increasing the flow rates.
In
a Swiftech system flowing ~1.5 GPM we observe that
with the Delta 1212M fans running at 7v, 200 Watts
-corresponding to a typical high-end dual CPU configuration
for example, can be dissipated with a mere 10°C
temperature rise of the coolant over ambient air,
and that this is accomplished at a Noise level of
~30 db(A). We can use the next set of curves below
to predict what would happen
if we were to add a couple of high-end graphic cards
to the system in SLI mode. |
