H20-8500/8501 Liquid cooling kits Reviews

"All three, MCW50, MCW20-R, and the MCW5000 R2 water blocks are truly superb! ..As for the MCW5000 R2 CPU block, I can't say enough. It is possibly one of the finest CPU water blocks on the planet. Alongside this, Swiftech uses Quick Connects on all water blocks, and I've never had one of these guys leak. This alone makes installation smooth for the end-user.Everything needed is provided in the H20-8501™ kit, from screws to washers, so you won't be held up by running out or ordering extra bits. When it comes to the 'stuff' needed, Swiftech never falls short" November 2003

"I think that our testing really showed off the great design of the kit. It showed that it has great overclocking capability even with the use of just one of the small radiators. The combination of excellent flow characteristics and great block design has proven itself...Swiftech is right when saying the kit is completely plug and play, absolutely no case mods. Swiftech's great quality shows it’s true coolers with the H2O-8501A water-cooling kit. I think the asetek vs. Swiftech showdown proved that to us." November 2003

"The [MCP600™] pump is extremely quiet, has multiple mounting options and runs quite cool. Of course, the big feature is the fact that it is a DC pump, meaning relays and case modifications are not required. As well, although the pump has a low GPH rating, it performs on par or better than other pumps currently in use. As well, its compact size and cool blue paint job make it something you wouldn’t necessarily have to hide away from view. Overall, I’m rating .. the MCP600 Inline Pump a 10 out of 10" September 2003

"The FBK525™ Fill & Bleed Assembly is much more compact and easy to operate. The use of 1/2" barbs on the internal connectors makes the assembly a viable choice for do-it-yourself assemblies and rivals the easy installation of a reservoir based system.. Overall, I’m rating the FBK525 Fill & Bleed Assembly a 9 out of 10" September 2003"
"The H20-8500 ...is the most effective means we tested for keeping the CPU in your system from frying.."
August 2003 issue of PC Upgrade Magazine, to be released in June

"The H20-8500 is a great watercooling kit for the newbie enthusiast. It performs decently and is extremely quiet." May 2003 of PC Enthusiast Magazine
"the Swiftech H20-8500... easily manages to outperform even the best air cooling at nearly silent levels.." June 2003

"This [H20-8500] product is one of the highest quality kits on the market today. The blocks are extremely well crafted with a polished copper base for maximum contact with the processor, tubes easily insert into fittings, effective radiator, etc... Also, since there's no reservoir it will fit into even the smallest tower cases. Watch the Video to find out more..." June 2003

"This [H20-8500]kit actually surprised me quite a bit. In particular, I thought performance would suffer due to the size of the radiator. However, it appears (in comparison to Innovatek) that the extra flow provided by the half inch tubing really made a difference. The temperatures speak for themselves, however, even more impressive is the fact that the kit is cooling not only just a CPU, but a video card as well. For a kit to do both of these tasks, and have better temperatures than the competition is no doubt outstanding. " June 2003

"Water cooling is the way to go, period! I would recommend this truly versatile [H20-8500™] kit to anyone looking for a water cooling system for their pc. " May 2003

"Bottom Line: It's hard to beat Swiftech's attention to detail. With less than two hours of construction time for the end user, and the fact that it will work with almost any case. Add to the fact that it's quiet, as well as performing admirably, makes this [H20-8500™] liquid cooling kit] a winner." April 2003

"For an all encompassing kit, the Swiftech unit is clearly the one to beat. The [ H20-8500™] kit requires minimal case modifications, and will fit in most mid-tower designs...Overall, the kit is a serious contender for anyone looking to enter water cooling, as well as veteran users. I'm rating this product a 9 out of 10 and would recommend this product to users looking for an all-encompassing performance water cooling kit." January 2003
...the Swiftech H20-8500™ water-cooling kit is a very nice setup for anyone interested in lowering their temperatures. ..Overall, I like the kit very much, and would recomend it for those who want to watercool." January 2003
"If you were looking to dive into water-cooling and wanted a very quiet, easy to install kit that will compliment the appearance of your case while providing acceptable temps, I would not hesitate to recommend the Swiftech H20-8500™ kit to you" January 2003

"Cooling Product of the Year. A company that constantly pushes the envelope with their watercooling kits, Swiftech, has earned our choice for best cooling solution over the last year for the H20 Water Cooling Kit. This is certainly one of the most difficult categories to choose a single winner, making it almost appropriate to select watercooling technology, as a whole, for this year's winner. Watercooling technology has continued to evolve providing a safe and effective way to cool even the hottest of processors at a level that no HSF could hope to match." December 2002

"Those who are looking for a quiet cooling solution for their PC should look no further...The H20-8500™kit provided nice temperatures at a very low noise level. The kit is designed for those who may have smaller cases and those who don't want to make extensive mods to their cases to accommodate a watercooling setup..." December 2002
"Swiftech H20-8500™ kit is intended for those who want very good CPU cooling with low noise..This kit is an excellent balance between ease of installation, low noise and very good cooling performance..." December 2002
