6-20-07

The socket 775 motherboard back plate kit is now available and compatible with all Apogee series Waterblocks. It allows a safe "hard mount" of all Apogee series Waterblocks for an optimum contact patch without excessive bend of the motherboard.

It includes a specially designed back plate compatible with all known socket 775 motherboards at the time of release. Special attention was given to clear all the small components located behind the motherboard, such as those present in the early versions of the EVGA i680 board.

The back plate also features strong sticky pads to prevent it from falling when the Waterblock is removed. Two sets of nylon spacers are included in the pack, one for Apogee, Apogee GT, and one for Apogee GTX.

Effective today, all Apogee series Waterblocks will be shipped with this new back plate and mounting hardware, thus replacing the current spring mounts for socket 775 motherboards.

**********FREE UPGRADE PROGRAM***********

A 30 days free upgrade program starting 6-21-07 is available to all original owners of Apogee GT and GTX water-block.

Conditions of the free upgrade:

Shipping by regular US mail
Proof of purchase required

Please email michelle@swiftech.com with copy of your invoice and mailing address.

The back plate is shipped with hardware for both Apogee GTX and Apogee GT. But it will also work with Apogee. Just be sure you use the included GT spacers with it.

Bag with all the parts
-------------------------

Parts and instructions
-----------------------------

2 bags of hardware
--------------------------

Hardware
----------------

Left: apogee gt spacers
Right: apogee gtx hardware

The spacers for the apogee gt are longer.

1. Peel off the protective paper from the center of the backplate and around the holes.

2. Install backplate on motherboard lining up the holes.

3. Screw + metal lock washer ---> waterblock ---> spacer ---> plastic screw retainer thingy. Repeat for the 3 other holes.

4. Install waterblock on motherboard and tighten the screws.

I submitted my request last night. I only live about 3 hours from Long Beach. It would be nice to get it in tomorrows or Saturday's mail. I bought my original kit on 6/28, but between locating additional water blocks and finally deciding to do the 8800 video card, I just got the rest of my parts on Monday (7/9). Hope to do it this weekend.

Well, I live in Las Vegas, and got it in two days. So chances are good you'll get it by Saturday, I would think.

Hello,

a friend of mine living in germany asked me to join this forum because he also wanna get this back plate. He told me that he tried to contact swiftech some times (gabe, michelle, support). He also sent his invoice to michelle but he didn't get any answer yet. He also couldn't join this forum. He registered but didn't receife the activation mail.

Can he get the back plate in germany too ? If not, what does he have to do to get one ?

greets

we responded to him at least 4 times: Michelle twice, and myself twice. I think he's not getting our emails for some reason. Please tell him that Michelle already sent the back plate since he gave us his address.

Hi gabe,

thank you for your reply.

I sent him an e-mail with a link to this thread, because he can read it without having to join the forum.

I think your post is exactly that what he wanted to hear.

kind regard also to michelle
