GT200 standoffs length issue:
There is a possible tolerance stack issue with this assembly. “Tolerance stack” means the addition of all the small tolerances allowed for manufacturing of the different parts in the assembly, which are housing, base plate, step, spacer, as well as height of the GTX260 GPU IHS itself: if they all go in the “wrong” direction, a gap of up to 0.019” (0.5mm) can exist, preventing contact between the water-block and the GPU IHS.
We have ordered shorter spacers to account for this possibility, and we expect to receive them end of next week.
We are recalling the small quantity of hardware packs that we have shipped to retailers (approximately 100), in order to replace all the spacers.
Any end user in possession of this adapter pack should carefully check if this problem applies to them, and contact us if it does to receive the correct spacers.
In the meantime, the water-blocks may be installed without the spacers, as long as users exercise caution in tightening the 4 thumb nuts fastening the block to the card.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause.
